With deep joy and thanksgiving to God, we celebrate the Final Profession of Religious Vows of our brothers:
Obih Lawrence, OMV; Oko David, OMV; Felix Adekoya, OMV; and Francis Omeka, OMV.
In this sacred moment, they have freely and definitively offered their lives to God through the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience within the Oblates of the Virgin Mary. Their profession marks a lifelong commitment to follow Christ more closely in the consecrated life, dedicating themselves entirely to the service of God and His Church.
This solemn act is not only a personal milestone but also a moment of grace for the entire Church, especially OMV Nigeria. Their generous “yes” reflects a deep trust in God’s call and stands as a witness to the enduring value of total self-gift in a world often marked by uncertainty and self-interest.
The celebration was witnessed by the Rector Major, Fr. Constantino Avila, OMV, OMV Nigerian priests, religious, seminarians, family members, and the faithful, all united in prayer and thanksgiving, for this we remain thankful to the Rector Major, Fr, Constantino, his Deligate, Fr. Cyril Odey, OMV and his council, the Rector of the Lanteri Oblate Seminary, Fr. Cosmas Amede, OMV and the other formators.
As they embrace this lifelong commitment, we entrust them to the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary. May they remain faithful to the vows they have professed, grow in holiness, and bear lasting fruit in the mission entrusted to them.
